Native Plant & Fungi Seekers: A Nature ID Walk Using Seek by iNaturalist

Event Description:
Join the National Road Heritage Corridor for a free educational walk and scavenger hunt along the Sheepskin Trail. Participants will explore the native and invasive plant and fungi species that line this section of trail while learning to use the Seek by iNaturalist app to identify and document their findings.
We’ll begin at Hutchinson Park and walk to the nearby trailside art installation area, stopping at pre-flagged plants and fungi for live interpretation. Discovery Cards and printed guides will be provided to help you track your observations and complete a species scavenger hunt.
This event is family-friendly and recommended for ages 8 and up. No prior experience is necessary. Please wear appropriate walking shoes, bring water, and download the Seek app in advance if possible.
Pre-registration is encouraged so we can prepare materials.
