This Introduction to Kayaking program is designed for beginners and first-time paddlers. Participants will receive instruction in paddling techniques, river safety, and the ecological importance of the Monongahela River. The guided paddle will take place on a calm section of the river and is led by trained guides from Venture Outdoors.
Venture Outdoors will provide all necessary equipment, including kayaks, paddles, and life jackets. Life jackets must be worn at all times while on the water.
Participant Requirements:
- Must be 14 years of age or older (participants under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian)
- Must be comfortable in and around water
- Must sign a waiver prior to launch
- Must submit a $10 registration fee via PayPal to secure a spot (payment details will be provided after form submission)
There are only 10 spots available. Registration is first-come, first-served and not confirmed until payment is received.
