Sarah Collier

Executive Director

Sarah Collier has served as Executive Director of the National Road Heritage Corridor (NRHC) since 2021, where she leads regional initiatives in heritage conservation, outdoor recreation, and community revitalization across Southwestern Pennsylvania. A strategic and collaborative nonprofit leader, she has advanced NRHC’s role as a catalyst for sense-of-place stewardship, bridging cultural heritage, environmental conservation, and rural economic development.

Prior to joining NRHC, Sarah served as Executive Director of the Washington Business District Authority, where she guided downtown revitalization through public-private partnerships, façade improvement grants, and strategic planning. Earlier in her career, she led the Public Allies AmeriCorps program at the Coro Center for Civic Leadership, designing leadership development programs focused on equity, civic engagement, and community resilience.

She currently serves as President of the Heritage PA Board of Directors. A graduate of Goucher College with a degree in English, Sarah brings to her work a lifelong commitment to community, storytelling, and the power of place.

Eric Snyder

Director of Outdoor Recreation

Eric Snyder is the Director of Outdoor Recreation for the National Road Heritage Corridor, where he focuses on trail development, placemaking, and community engagement. With a bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Recreation, Parks, and Tourism Resources Management, he has built his career around connecting heritage preservation and interpretation with community development.

Jennifer Burden

Director of Cultural Resources

As Director of Cultural Resources, Jenn oversees heritage projects and programs for the National Road Heritage Corridor. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of Pittsburgh and a Master’s of Science degree in Historic Preservation from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. Jenn’s areas of interest include cemetery preservation, agricultural history, and uncovering random stories about the region. She’s never met a dog she didn’t want to pet.
